ELIO LLC operates eliowise.com and the Federal Tax Simulator. This notice describes the current site’s data practices, including what stays in your browser and what reaches our hosting service when you visit. Contact support@eliowise.com with privacy questions.
Simulator inputs stay in your browser
The simulator calculates results on your device. The application does not upload your salary, bonus, deductions, filing status, scenario names, or results to ELIO LLC, Google, or an analytics service. Do not put Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other identifiers in scenario names.
We use browser local storage to remember your simulator inputs, selected tax year, filing status, and display theme between visits. This storage supports the calculator’s save-and-restore feature; it is not an advertising profile. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see saved scenarios. Browser storage remains until you delete it, clear site data, or your browser removes it. Private-browsing and storage restrictions may prevent settings from being saved.
Delete your saved data
The button below removes Eliowise’s saved simulator inputs and preferences from this browser. It does not affect other devices or hosting logs. Returning to the simulator starts with default inputs, and new edits are saved again. You can also clear site data in your browser or use a private-browsing window.
Hosting and communications
Visiting the site sends ordinary web requests to our hosting infrastructure. Hosting access and error logs may include your IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, referring page, and response status. We use this information to deliver the site, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, and prevent abuse. Calculator inputs are not included in request URLs by the application.
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you send. We use them to respond and handle your request. Please do not send tax returns or sensitive identifiers. Hosting and email service providers may process operational data to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
This version of Eliowise does not load advertising or analytics services, set advertising cookies, or sell or share simulator inputs for targeted advertising. We do not use your financial entries to build advertising audiences. The browser storage described above is used for the simulator and theme preferences.
If Google advertising is enabled in the future, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. We will update this notice to identify the advertising providers in use and provide applicable consent and withdrawal controls before enabling those services.
You can manage Google personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center (Ads Settings). You can also find participating third-party advertising choices through Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out choices. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Google’s privacy policy. These external controls do not delete locally saved calculator inputs.
Your privacy choices and rights
We do not currently conduct targeted advertising or sell personal information, including for visitors using Global Privacy Control. You can delete browser-local simulator data using the control above. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, or object to certain uses. Email support@eliowise.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe your request. We may need to verify it. We cannot retrieve calculator inputs that exist only in your browser.
Retention, security, and children
We retain operational logs and correspondence for as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, handling requests, and legal obligations. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information; contact us if you believe a child has sent us such information.
External links and notice updates
Links to IRS publications and other external resources take you to sites with their own privacy practices. Following a link may share ordinary browser request information with that destination. We will post changes to our practices on this page and update its effective date.
